Peripheral simulation models

Simulation models allow extending the ISS (Instruction Set Simulator) in TRACE32® by simulating any hardware periferial tool located in the microcontroller. ISS simulator supplemented with simulation models allows the user to launch and test of complex applications such as operating systems or complex DSP algorithms without having the target microprocessor system. This saves time and start work on the software at a very early stage of system development when the hardware platform is still not available yet.

The great advantage of the extended simulator for peripherial simulation models is cost savings because many programmers can work on a project without having access to expensive prototypes of the microprocessor device.

All found peripherals can be modeled such as interrupt controllers, timers, communication modules or even displays.
